As September comes to a close, so does Childhood Cancer Awareness Month—a time dedicated to raising awareness, sharing stories, and rallying behind the fight for a cure. But for the families walking through a childhood cancer diagnosis, the journey does not end when the calendar flips to October. Childhood cancer continues every single day, and so must our commitment to making a difference.
This month, we had the honor of sitting down with Erin from Fourth and Gold, a local organization founded to bring awareness, raise funds, and support families right here in our community who are navigating the unimaginable reality of childhood cancer. In our conversation, Erin shared not only her own experiences, but also the hope, strength, and resilience that Fourth and Gold brings to families when they need it most.
At Cultivate, we believe in being more than just a salon—we believe in using our platform to support causes that touch the lives of our guests and our city. Childhood cancer is not a once-a-year fight. It’s a daily battle for kids and families in our own backyard, and they deserve our year-round attention, love, and action.
How You Can Help
The most powerful way to create change is to start local. Fourth and Gold is actively making an impact in Jacksonville and beyond, but they need our community to stand with them. Whether it’s through donations, volunteering, attending their events, or simply spreading awareness, every action counts.
✨ Donate or sponsor a family through Fourth and Gold.
✨ Attend upcoming events and invite your friends and family to do the same.
✨ Share their mission on social media to keep the conversation alive beyond September.
Together, we can show that while Childhood Cancer Awareness Month may be over, our dedication to the cause continues every single day.
